Rhonda Rogers, MD
Board-Certified Dermatologist
In 1983, Dr. Rhonda Rogers moved to Carrollton, GA, to open her Dermatology practice along with her husband, cardiologist Dr. William Rogers.
Her interest in medicine began at an early age, largely due to Doctors Nat and Howard Glover, her pediatricians in Newnan, GA, who encouraged her decision at a time when women made up less than ten percent of all physicians. After graduating from Newnan High School and obtaining a BS degree in chemistry at Mercer University in Macon, GA, Dr. Rogers married her best friend and lab partner, and the two of them attended the Medical College of Georgia (MCG) together in Augusta, GA. She did two years of Internal Medicine at MCG before completing her Dermatology residency in 1983, also at MCG.
Practicing medicine in the same town where she lives has been one of the greatest blessings of her career. Many of her patients are also her neighbors and friends, and having an office five minutes from her home has enabled her to routinely meet patients at the office for emergencies or even to read a TB skin test on the weekend. While many physicians today choose to practice or are forced logistically to practice far from where they live, Dr. Rogers has thoroughly enjoyed raising her four children in the West Georgia area where she lives, works, shops, and worships. Her hobbies include running, reading, and baking, but her greatest joy is spending time with her grandchildren.
